I can’t possibly explain to you how much I love music. Music falls in my lineage of love right after my family.
I could listen to all genres of music at least for a little while. Rock is my all time favorite and I love all of it except scream-o. I think there is absolutely NO talent in screaming words and I sometimes think, “I can’t wait for this person to loose his voice so I don’t have to hear this EVER AGAIN!!!!!”
My boys are all VERY talented musically. Konner plays guitar and loves to write his own songs. Phillip is the second drummer in our house but has surpassed his daddy in talent. He also is a phenomenal singer but is to embarrassed to do it in front of people. Robb also plays drums but has worked so hard in the last few years that this love of his has been put on the back burner. Robb also played saxophone for many years and toured with a band in his youth. I say I have no musical talent but because I love music so much I find out all I can about bands and albums and songs . I am the trivia queen. I am also a expert with lyrics. I can remember lyrics like no one I know. I can hear a song once and will always remember at least parts of the song FOREVER. My hubs says if my professors in college had sung all my lectures I would be the smartest person ever!!!!
My love started young. I must have had very cool parents because I now see and appreciate the type of music they exposed me to. My first recollection of music was my own 45 record player and it’s a small world record.
I then graduated to a Shaun Cassidy record, you know the ones you got with the big poster? I loved him and knew I would marry him.
It is after this that I remember listening to my parents records…
Then some boys came around and changed it all for me.
I was not a depressed rebellious girl, I just really liked heavier music. It has stuck with me. I still like heavier music but will always choose Hair bands if given a choice.
